A Year-End Message from Our President

Dear Supporters and Friends of the Barbara McDowell Foundation and the Barbara McDowell Public Interest Law Center
 
This past year has brought great joy, growth, and impact from the work of our organizations. We successfully launched the Barbara McDowell Public Interest Law Center after months of strategic planning. In addition, we continued our robust grantmaking at the Barbara McDowell & Gerald S. Hartman Foundation by distributing in September 2022 a total of $250,000 to five very worthy social justice organizations. Finally, our year-earlier grantees saw much favorable progress towards justice in their grant-funded cases. These events together signify our commitment to supporting nationwide social justice efforts and ensuring lasting impact.
 
As we reflect on the year, we are grateful to all who supported our mission. To our dedicated Board members, hardworking grantees, and generous supporters, we thank you for joining us in the fight for social justice. Without your support, we would not have been able to achieve such a significant impact.

While we are proud of what we have accomplished, much work must be done for all to flourish and live a life free from the want of basic needs and rights. We believe that the injustices experienced by so many cannot go unanswered, and we remain committed to working towards justice for all.
 
As 2022 comes to an end, we invite you to join us in the continued fight for social justice. Where justice is done for all and not just for a few, all our lives become better.
